Position Summary:
The Senior Director Product Marketing - Global will be responsible for shaping and executing the global commercial strategy for key oncology assets in the women’s cancer portfolio. This leadership role will involve driving brand strategy, market development, and commercial execution to ensure the successful global launch and lifecycle management of therapies in this critical area. The ideal candidate will have deep oncology expertise, a strong track record in global marketing, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Commercial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive global product marketing strategy for women’s cancer therapies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long-term vision.
- Market Development & Insights: Lead market assessment initiatives, including competitive intelligence, patient journey mapping, segmentation, and positioning to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Brand Planning & Lifecycle Management: Oversee global brand planning, positioning, messaging, and commercialization strategies for current and pipeline oncology products.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Market Access, and Regional Commercial Teams, to ensure coordinated strategy execution.
- Launch Readiness & Execution: Develop and implement global launch plans, ensuring commercial readiness by collaborating with affiliates and regional teams.
- Customer Engagement & Advocacy: Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy groups, and external stakeholders to enhance disease awareness and drive market adoption.
- Digital & Omnichannel Marketing: Implement digital-first marketing initiatives and innovative omnichannel engagement strategies to optimize outreach and impact.
- Performance Tracking & Analytics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Competitive Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging innovations to inform commercial strategy and positioning.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 10 years of progressive experience in global product marketing, commercial strategy, or brand management within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong background in oncology, with a deep understanding of the women’s cancer market (e.g., breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer).
- Proven track record of successfully launching and commercializing oncology therapeutics in global markets.
- Experience in working with cross-functional and regional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Prior experience in market shaping, KOL engagement, and commercialization of targeted therapies or biologics is a plus.
