Talent Acquisition Intern
About the Role:
DiscoverU Health is looking to offer a unique opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Intern to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying, attracting, and engaging exceptional talent to support our mission of enhancing access to healthcare services in minority metropolitan communities. This part-time, remote position spans six months, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week. While the internship is unpaid, there is potential for compensation to be offered after successful completion and a performance review, should an extension be granted. We are seeking candidates who have prior experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or Human Resources, or who are currently enrolled in a master’s or graduate-level program. Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively search for candidates through various platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, etc.) and maintain a pipeline of potential talent for current and future roles.
- Job Postings: Create, manage, and update job postings on multiple platforms to maximize visibility and attract top talent.
- Candidate Engagement: Pre-screen applicants to assess alignment with DiscoverU Health’s values and conduct initial phone interviews.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates to ensure a professional and seamless experience.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Utilize our ATS to track candidates, update job statuses, and manage recruitment workflows.
- Recruitment Events: Support virtual or in-person career fairs and networking events, collaborating with schools, colleges, and community partners.
- Compliance Support: Assist with background check processes, onboarding tasks, and ensuring compliance with internal and external hiring regulations.
- Strategic Projects: Participate in special projects focused on improving talent acquisition strategies, employer branding, and candidate experience.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets & Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ATS systems and recruitment tools is a plus.
