Is responsible for sales, marketing and educating the community about the Agency's services, as well as obtaining patient referrals.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the community, health care facilities, and referral sources appropriate for agency services.
- Assists the V.P. of Operations in establishing targets and goals for development of all service lines in the market.
- Develops a marketing plan, identifying priorities and sets a reasonable timetable.
- Responsible for establishing, growing and maintaining relationships with facility-based referral sources, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, by both communicating with existing referral sources and identifying new opportunities.
- Visits Doctor' offices, hospital discharge desks, Assisted Living facilities and other possible sources of referrals to present Agency credentials and obtain patient referrals.
- Provides in-services and professional presentations for referral sources, community groups and other organizations, regarding DAH's services, programs and outcomes.
- Maintains regular contact with discharge planners, social workers, hospitals, nursing homes, Assisted Living facilities and other referral sources to facilitate the referral process.
- Assesses the patient's clinical needs and gathers clinical information from the hospital and the patient.
- Champions the mission and vision of the organization and projects a positive and professional image for the agency in the community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare marketing, admissions, or referral experience
- Ability to set priorities; competent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations/deadlines.
- Excellent oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.
- Demonstrates desire to work in a business development role.
