What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Eating Disorder Technician Residential part time position at Discovery Behavioral Health?
The Overnight Eating Disorder Technician (Overnight ED Tech) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. Overnight ED Tech is responsible for contributing insightful practical and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. Overnight ED Tech responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety conducting routine safety observations maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment and supporting patients.
Responsibilities :
- Must be able to stay awake through the entire shift.
- Completes overnight checklist.
- Completes light household cleaning.
- Completes temperature checks on all refrigerator appliances.
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings acclimating patient to the program and milieu.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families / loved ones as appropriate.
- Assists and supports patients in daytoday activities including but not limited to waking routines morning hygiene nighttime routine evening hygiene bathroom observations and safety overnight observations.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates with all team members.
- Contributes to the wellbeing of all patients by serving as a positive role model.
- Completes all shift notes rounds and other required documentation by the end of shift.
This is a part time position working overnight on Fridays from 10PM6AM
