Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate VPK Teacher to join our team. As a teacher you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for out enrolled students. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of each child. The Floater position will require you to hop from classroom to classroom assisting other teachers with whatever they may need.
45 DCF hours are required.
40 Hours a week
Duties:
- Provide attentive care and supervision to children in a childcare setting
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children to play and learn
- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Collaborate with parents to ensure the individual needs of each child are met
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
- Follow established protocols for behavior management and discipline
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other staff members
Skills:
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Childcare: Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting
- Understanding VPK students and how to fit their needs.
- First aid: Proficiency in basic first aid techniques for children's safety and well-being
- Babysitting: Experience providing care for children on an occasional or regular basis
- Behavior management: Skill in addressing challenging behaviors in a positive and effective manner
