Assistant Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students, including those with diverse needs. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning, promoting literacy and math skills, and providing quality care for children in a daycare setting.

Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
• Support students with disabilities, including autism, by adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
• Engage students in literacy education through interactive activities and reading sessions.
• Facilitate math learning through hands-on activities and games to enhance understanding.
• Provide attentive care to toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

• Previous experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with lesson planning techniques and early childhood education principles is beneficial
• Strong understanding of literacy education strategies and math concepts for young learners.
• A genuine passion for educating children and fostering their development in a supportive environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
