We do provide a curriculum, however we allow you the creative freedom to add activities you deem necessary (we want you to be the leader in your classroom)! All materials you need, we have or will get for you... we want to see you succeed!
The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- THE DESIRE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of others
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a child care center.
- Experience with Quality Care is a plus!
Ability to drive a small bus is a HUGE plus!!!
A professional, positive attitude Classroom duties include but aren't limited to:
- Keeping a clean and safe room, keeping a Quality Care compliant classroom, keeping appropriate logs & making sure everything is in compliance.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40 lb child in an emergency situation.
- You must be able to get up off the floor and stand up quickly. This is a physically ACTIVE role.
- A loving demeanor with children!
- All candidates must pass the national criminal background check (required).
- Must be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly in both verbal and written form
- Must be 18 or older & have a High School Diploma / GED (required)

Further Job Descriptions Include:
- You must have a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special & loved.
- You must be able to laugh at jokes that you don’t understand, or you don’t find funny. Child humor can be a confusing minefield to navigate.
- You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness, silliness, and always out-going.
- The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
- Some knowledge of Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Jake Paul (or whatever you tuber is famous this week) etc is very useful.
- A high level of multitasking is essential. If something would normally take 5 minutes to achieve, you must be comfortable with it taking 15 minutes or longer.
- You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required.
- Possessing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of utmost importance.
- Having ninja like skills with pipe cleaners, glue, a tissue paper is very useful.
- Must be comfortable entering public places on the way home from work with unknown substances on your clothing.
- The ability to "Pinterest" and "Google" large group activities... and USE them.
- You preferably do not have an aversion to an environment that at times resembles the aftermath of a tornado.
- You must be able to remain focused in environments with high noise levels.
- The ability to remember the names of 40 children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets & special soft toys is a key component of this job. Again, this is something that will develop over time.
- You must feel comfortable sitting in chairs that does not contain all of your behind.
- A high level of comfort with being asked personal questions by children is essential. You will regularly be asked questions regarding what you are having for lunch... whether you are willing to share said lunch... do you have a dog... what's your dog's name... do you like cats.... (just to name a few)
- You must have an understanding that the small people you have a strong relationship with during the week, may completely and utterly refuse to talk to or acknowledge you when they see you at the local store. Your feelings must not be easily hurt.
- Authentically showing an interest in and curiosity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential, even if they are your biggest fear on earth.
- You must be smarter than a 5 grader :) :) :)
You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your day.
