What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer/Library Teacher (2025 - 2026) position at Discovery Health Sciences Schools?
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened in August for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Bachelor's or Master's degree certified Computer/Library Teacher. The ability to teach keyboarding, Google Applications, graphic arts and graphic design, knowledge and understanding of Computer Technology careers as part of the program is desirable. Two (2) years of experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Position available August 2025. Summer workshops may be required.
