What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Parent Liaison position at Discovery Health Sciences Schools?
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is a newly authorized Type 2 Charter that is part of the Discovery Schools Charter Management Organization. We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened in August for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 - 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK - 8th at full capacity.
Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks a Middle School Parent Liaison to partner with parents, teachers, staff, students and the community. This position will work closely with school administration to support the school and to assist families in locating resources and promote care of families in need. Responsibilities may include communicating with parents and families, organizing community events, supporting admissions, development and the business office, and serving as a backup for the Front Office. An ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, good communication skills and practice cultural awareness.
