School Nurse Substitute

Discovery Health Sciences Schools seeks qualified School Nurse Substitutes for grades PreK through 12th. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting and be able to provide medical care to students as needed. The School Nurse Substitute will be responsible for administering medication, providing first aid, and maintaining accurate medical records. This is an on-call position based on coverage needs across campuses.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication to students as prescribed by a physician
• Provide first aid to students as needed
• Maintain accurate medical records for all students
• Communicate with parents and school staff regarding student health concerns

Requirements:

• Valid nursing license
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on short notice
