What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at Discovery Health Sciences Schools?
Dr. John Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences School seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional preferably with a job-related Associate or Bachelor’s degree. This individual will partner with the special education lead teacher in the general and special education class setting supporting children with special needs in classrooms. The needs of these students include academic and social issues related to hearing loss, vision loss, autism, health impairments, language disorders, or cognitive weaknesses.
Experience with delivering a variety of accommodations in multiple settings is an asset. Ability to collaborate with various teachers and school leaders and to be a strong advocate for student needs is required. School-related experience is desired. Positions available now.
