Your commitment to continuous learning and development in the areas of relational neuroscience and attachment theory enhances your ability to provide high-quality support.WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DOAs a Lead Parent Coach, you'll support parents and foster growth within families by providing nervous system-based, relationship-focused support and education. You'll conduct individual sessions, lead group sessions, and oversee case management, ensuring proactive communication with clients and collaborative supports. This role builds on the Apprentice Parent Coach responsibilities, requiring a higher level of expertise and experience. You will collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, promoting positive parent-child relationships and overall family well-being.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide nervous system-based, relationship-focused care to children, parents, and families, including individual and group sessions.Conduct sessions on the therapeutic farm, in-home, or community settings, ensuring transportation as needed.Lead the development, implementation and ongoing needs of person centered, individualized care plans, with input from families and multidisciplinary teams.Support and Oversee our Support Parent Coaches and other staff, ensuring consistent service delivery aligned with program principles.Collaborate with caregivers and systems of support, ensuring alignment with person-centered practices.Document and maintain timely and accurate client progress records.Promote emotional regulation and relational strategies in all aspects of care delivery.Participate in staff training and professional development to enhance expertise in attachment theory, relational neuroscience, and behavior intervention.Coordinate client and team schedules, manage case assignments, and provide oversight for service consistency.Drive commercial vehicles for outings and field trips, appointments, and other supportive services. Practice accountability in all organizational and programmatic policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Maintain a safe and clean environment within the facility, on the farm and in commercial vehicles. Responsible for managing client spending budgets and submitting accurate and timely expense reports. Willingness to contribute to and participate in all farm based needs.Understands that schedules of direct care staff are managed by Discovery Horse schedulers, ensuring appropriate time for balancing client care, professional development and self-care. Maintains compliance with state and federal laws governing the work of Discovery Horse, including but not limited to HIPAA compliance and state waiver programs.  Regularly attends related compliance training as required.Participation in 24 Hour On-Call service during 7 day shift rotation.Full-time : maintain no less than 25 billable hours per week as part of a 40 hour work week.Completes other duties as assigned.ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESOversee case coordination across multiple families, ensuring a cohesive approach to care coordination and progress monitoring.Facilitate training and mentoring of Support Family Coaches, interns and other staff as directed by Senior NeuroRelational Coach.Lead and model secure relationship practices, including the rupture and repair cycle in professional and client relationships.Deliver 24 hour emergency on-call support during assigned 7 day rotations.Evaluate care plans and progress, adjusting interventions as needed to align with family goals and program outcomes.Participate in developing and refining program policies, ensuring adherence to best practices.Lead and support group sessions for family, caregiver and youth, using attachment theory and relational neuroscience.Willing to work evenings and weekend days as part of schedule.Ability to assess one's own regulation state and self-regulate in a multitude of environments and in varying levels of stress.May participate in equine support team during equine sessions. Willing to engage in and facilitate relationships between farm animals and family members.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL SET & EXPERIENCEQUALIFICATIONSBachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Another Related Field.Minimum 5 years working with children, adolescents, and families in behavior-focused or mental health environments.Preferred certifications : Attachment Trauma, Internal Family Systems, Collaborative Problem Solving, Somatic Experiencing, or Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. Completion of Discovery Horse Parent Coaching curriculum and trauma-informed care training.Must be able to pass a background study with the MN department of Human Services.A valid driver's license with a clean and safe driving record to operate farm vehicles and equipment is required.Position requires constant walking, climbing, stairs, and the ability to safely bend, lift, sit, and twist while lifting and carrying 50 pounds. This includes maintaining proper body mechanics to prevent injury and ensure personal safety, as well as the safety of others, while performing job-related tasks.
