Position Summary:
The Project Manager plays a key role in Proteomics initiatives, overseeing scientific project management within lab services, and ensuring seamless execution of complex workflows. This position requires a deep understanding of proteomic capabilities and strong collaboration across teams to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
- BS, MS or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Proteomics or related discipline
- 1 years project management experience required
- Minimum of 2 years relevant lab experience
- Knowledge of project management tools and practices.
- Ability to use complex spreadsheets and other project management tools to track multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of proteomic research and analysis using a variety of platforms, technologies, and workflows including but not limited to MS-, immuno-, bead-, and plate-based proteomics for quantitative proteomics.
- Familiarity with genomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, proteogenomics, and bioinformatics is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sample management on-site.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties for initiation and execution of client sponsored projects.
- Work with scientific team and project management team to plan and designate project resources and monitor project progress through project completion.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Work with scientific team and project management team ensure projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers with the goal of becoming a trusted partner.
- Participate and begin to lead process improvement changes for project management.
- Create, participate, and maintain project management platforms (SmartSheets, Salesforce PSA, LIMs, etc.)
- Track and monitor key milestones and decision points to drive delivery of project objectives.
- Facilitate meetings, as needed, with both internal teams and the customers to drive cross-functional communication, timely and effective decision making, and successful execution of project objectives.
- Assist and support the project management team with development of project capacity and forecasting.
- Assist and support the project management team with project feasibility.
- Meet with potential customers virtually to understand their scientific research and proteomics project needs.
- Prepare sales scientific proposals, SOWs, and Change Orders.

Location and work hours:
- Onsite – Must live in or be willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL
- Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
