Position Summary:
The Research Associate will help build testing pipelines, support validation efforts, and execute clinical flow cytometry testing in clinical trials studies. This role will be important in the continued growth of Flow Cytometry within the company with an opportunity to work and grow in a fast-paced environment and make an impactful contribution to the growth of Discovery Life Sciences.
A Day in the Life of a Research Associate at Discovery Life Sciences:
- Prepare and process human specimens for clinical flow cytometry testing.
- Operate and troubleshoot flow cytometry instrumentation to ensure optimal performance during clinical trials.
- Analyze and interpret flow cytometry data, generating concise reports for study sponsors or internal teams.
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to meet project turnaround times and ensure high-quality data output.
Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):
- BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related discipline
- General laboratory skills and knowledge in analytical methods and techniques.
- Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task and work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Experience in Flow cytometry is preferred
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to do general lab calculations
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the daily operations of the flow cytometry laboratory including equipment operation and maintenance, tracking of samples and project turnaround time.
- Execute assigned laboratory projects.
- Help review and maintain Laboratory SOPs.
- General upkeep of the lab and maintenance of laboratory equipment and raw materials inventory
- Present project updates to management.
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing of raw materials.
- Respect the privacy of the personal information of patients, co-workers, and all individuals with whom the company interacts.
