General Summary
This full-time role is designed for a proactive, results-driven professional who excels at outbound sales and relationship building. You'll focus on converting leads into bookings through scheduled consultations, with a particular emphasis on school group and birthday party sales. Working with schools, youth groups, and families, you'll create tailored experiences at Discovery Place that exceed expectations and drive revenue growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled sales consultations with prospective guests, following up on leads and inquiries.
- Convert field trip and birthday party inquiries into bookings through effective objection handling and solution-based selling.
- Proactively manage your sales pipeline and calendar of appointments.
- Coordinate and book Museum visits, classes, and programs for various groups.
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of exhibits and programs to create compelling value propositions.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals set by the Sales Manager.
- Report activities, conversion rates, and client interactions to the Sales Manager.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in our systems.
- Handle occasional incoming calls while maintaining focus on scheduled consultations.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in Salesforce is a plus.
- Salesforce CRM experience a plus.
Qualifications
High School diploma required. At least two years of sales experience with demonstrated success in closing deals. Experience in consultative selling and appointment-based sales preferred. Background in education, events, or guest service is a plus.
Working Conditions
Professional office environment. The noise level in the environment is moderate. We are currently working in a hybrid model. This position is in the office several days a week, with opportunities for remote work. This is not a remote-only position.
