What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher position at Discovery Point - Symmes & Summerfield?
Position Summary:
We are seeking energetic teachers to join our team and work with children aged 2-5 years old. Discovery Point uses a proprietary curriculum which includes reading, language, STEM, cooking projects and art. Our teachers often add other activities and learning experiences during the day.
- One (1) year experience in child care is required to apply
- Completion of 45 hours of child care training and training displayed on DCF Transcript is required to apply
- CDA or CDA equivalent preferred but not required
Duties include:
- Implement the proprietary curriculum
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child
Salary : $14 - $16
