Located on a large, breath-taking private ranch on the outskirts of beautiful Cedar City, Discovery Ranch South is a licensed, accredited residential treatment center for for adolescent females. As our LPN and/or Medical Assistant, you will work with our clinical team to provide integrated care services to our students. You will work directly with our students to monitor their health, provide health education, and address their concerns. You will also manage communication regarding students' health with therapists, mentors, and our students' parents.

Responsibilities- Must work two residential shifts, scheduled in coordination with the Residential Director and Registered Nurse.
- Provide on-call medical support on weekends, with flexibility to coordinate weekend off-days with nursing staff.
- Communicate medical needs/concerns to parents/legal guardians
- Coordinate approval by parents/legal guardians for medication changes
- Inform parents/legal guardian of upcoming appts., medical updates or concerns
- Coordinate parent calls to talk with psychiatrist
- Communicate medical concerns to referral sources
- Manages all student medications
- Ensures medications are secured, accounted for and dispensed as ordered by the prescribing physician
- Properly disposes old/unused medications
- Monitors/assess medication efficacy and side effects
- Stocks,restocks, and reorders medical supplies and equipment
- Stocks/restocks first aid kits throughout the entire campus
- Fanny packs stocked/restocked with Epipens,inhalers,other necessary meds
- Check In as needed at student housing

- Medical Assistant Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification
- Eligible to work in the USA
- Able to pass criminal investigation background checks
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- First Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)
- Experience in a residential or wilderness setting preferred
