Position Overview:
Are you a passionate and dynamic music educator ready to inspire the next generation of musicians? TPA is seeking a dedicated Middle School Music Teacher to join our team. This role will involve teaching general music, conducting ensembles, and fostering a love for music in a collaborative and engaging classroom environment. We are looking for an individual who can motivate students, foster creativity, and help them develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive music curriculum that includes music theory, performance, and history.
- Lead and rehearse musical ensembles, including bands, and orchestras.
- Plan and execute school concerts, performances, and community events.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess student progress through performances, projects, and written assessments.
- Lead extracurricular music activities like music clubs or workshops.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching music in a middle school setting.
- Proficiency in teaching a variety of musical instruments and vocal techniques.
- Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy.
- Ability to use educational technology and music software in the classroom.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passionate about fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
