Certified Substitute Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in maintaining a consistent learning environment for students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, experience working with children, and the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.

Duties

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and educational activities to students across various grade levels.
• Supervise and engage students in classroom activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to foster positive relationships.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain discipline and encourage positive behavior among students.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs of students, including those with autism or other special needs.
• Assist in the assessment of student progress and provide feedback as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during class.

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles is a plus.
• Experience in managing classroom behavior and implementing effective communication strategies is essential.
• Knowledge of subjects such as Math or other core curriculum areas is beneficial.
• Experience working with students who have special needs, including autism, is highly valued.
• A background in private school settings can be advantageous but is not required.

Pay: $130.00 - $140.00 per day
