Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Network Operations and Engineering finance team
- Lead the analysis of the marginal cost of the network as we operate and improve profitability of the network
- Analyze a variety of financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures, cost projections, investments, etc.) for the purpose of providing direction and support, making recommendations, maximizing use of funds and/or ensuring overall operations are within budget
- Assist operational groups with financial modeling, revenue and cost forecasting, and ad hoc analysis
- Perform financial and strategic analyses in collaboration with operating groups to improve performance for all areas of the business
- Interpret financial data and communicate conclusions and recommendations to key stakeholders
- Create and deliver financial presentations to upper management
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- MBA or MS-Finance is a plus but not required
- 8 years of experience in an accounting/finance environment, preferably in the telecom, manufacturing or construction industries
- 3 years with management experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Established leadership skills and an ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Expertise with financial tools (e.g., Hyperion Smartview, Onestream)
- Understanding of business financial and accounting concepts (Accruals, Reversal, GAAP principles, Valuation, etc.)
- Intellectual curiosity, outstanding problem solving and strong analytical skills with the ability to seek, organize, analyze, and draw valid conclusions with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills, well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials to communicate effectively with senior executives
