Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking an experienced Security Guard I for the Corporate Security Team to provide security and support to our Cheyenne, WY, Broadcast Center. The Security Guard will interact with all levels of employees, work in a team setting, and performs 85% remote desk duty; i.e.; create employee badges, monitors security systems, and complete site walks within the building and external property grounds.
This role is located onsite in Cheyenne, WY.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensures the safety and security of Dish's employees, property, and information
- Controls personnel, visitor, and contractor access to the Uplink facility by performing badge checks and issuing temporary badges, inspecting hand-carried items to prevent the loss of company property and introduction of prohibited items into the facility
- Performs administrative work at the security desk (issues employee badges, etc.)
- Monitors security cameras and alarm systems to detect unauthorized entry and exit from the DISH facility
- Responds to alarms, security situations, and other incidents taking action as direct to resolve the problem
- Patrols DISH property for breaches, maintenance problems, fire, and building hazards etc.
- Maintains an event log and operates computer systems supporting computerized security programs
Work Hours - Tuesday - Saturday from 11 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
