Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive user research studies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and usability testing
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify insights and trends related to user behavior and preferences
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the DISHTV and SlingTV markets, including competitor offerings and emerging technologies
• Institute comprehensive research strategies with the help of product squads and key stakeholders
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate research findings into actionable product improvements
• Facilitate validation of product concepts and solutions through experimentation and prototype testing
• Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research methodologies and tools, and recommend improvements to existing processes
• Promote research best practices to enable product and design teams to independently gather feedback

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in product research or a related field, preferably within the media or technology industry
• Experience delivering research results with clear and simple insights into solving complex problems

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for understanding user needs and delivering exceptional product experiences
• Have an inclusive and deeply human-centered approach to user research
• Can work across a cross-functional team seamlessly and effortlessly
• Ability to communicate and present complex concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences at varying levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with user experience (UX) research and usability testing
• Knowledge of the television and streaming media industry
• Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methods
