About the Role & Team
We're looking for an experienced Background Painter to join an unannounced series at Disney Television Animation! We are looking for individuals who can make thoughtful color choices regarding the lighting, environment, tone, and atmosphere of each assigned scene.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with Art Director and / or Background Paint Lead to apply color, textures and details to approved background designs.
- Reference color keys established by Color Stylist to adhere to show style and guidelines.
- Further the storytelling process using color, design and sense of light.
- Adhere to the production schedule provided by Line Producer to ensure cost effective, timely production.
- Additional duties as necessary, or as defined by individual contracts.

Education : The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and / or training.
The pay rate for this role in California is $56.88 to $60.33 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
