The Digital Communications internship will be a full-time opportunity located in Orlando, Florida, for a duration of six months starting in June 2025 through the beginning of January 2026.

What You Will Do

This is an opportunity to grow your digital content creation and planning skills with an innovative team showcasing stories from around the world.
- Discover, curate, and share #DisneyCastLife stories across various platforms, including our internal communication channels, the Disney Parks Blog, and on social media
- Help our dynamic team track, plan, and distribute content across multiple channels
- Identify great Cast stories, and then find creative and relevant ways to share them with the world, including writing and posting for intranet and external sites
- Comfortable tracking content and using analytics to strategize fresh and creative ideas for future projects
- Connect with Cast Members in a new way, and use social media to create a digital Cast Member community
- Assist with the management of global projects with multiple site partners across the business to increase employee morale and overall engagement on different vehicles of communication
- Take risks and measure new initiatives
- Learn how to cultivate content creation
- Ability to be flexible, resourceful and thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and growing environment (No two days are ever alike in this role)
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and build relationships
- Comfortable working collaboratively with team members at all levels
- Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and ability to prioritize time
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Managing competing priorities and communicate updates effectively while under pressure
- Willing to contribute your skills, while always being open to learning, and confident to ask questions
- Knowledge about social media platforms and best practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, iOS operating system, Smartsheet
- Previous communications experience
- An ability to write for various platforms and a love of storytelling is ideal
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, videography, and/or photography
- Experience with social tracking and metrics sites such as Sprinklr and Adobe Analytics
- Previous experience working on social media in an academic or professional setting; posting and writing in the voice/tone of an organization
- Proven campaign and event planning experience
- Previous Disney experience with knowledge of Walt Disney World property and products
- A portfolio of previous work is recommended for this position. Please include a link to your portfolio on your resume
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Customer Engagement, Marketing or other relevant fields
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
- This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 until January 2026.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
- Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
