Manager, Rights Management, Streaming Services
This person will support and manage team members focused on Rights Management for our Disney Streaming Services partners, including Disney Streaming Services domestically and globally. This individual will also provide support to the Rights Management team on team wide projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide Management Support:
Oversight of the Rights Management Steaming Services team which is responsible for all owned, produced, acquired or licensed titles by the Walt Disney Company (excluding Nat Geo and ESPN) for inclusion on Disney Streaming Services
Manage and organize the Rights Management Streaming Services team
Lead various projects that are required by the department in order to maintain data constancy/integrity
Represent, organize and present the needs of the team to department leadership
Support Disney Streaming Services:
Perform contract interpretation on acquisition agreements and manage communication with local legal teams
Collaborate with internal teams as needed (Content Sales, Technical Servicing, Finance/Accounting, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, Sales, Deal Management, etc.)
Initial point of contact for rights related questions from domestic and international teams
Assist in preparation of communications of preliminary and confirmed rights information and changes to rights information to streaming and other relevant teams
Enter preliminary and confirmed rights in relevant systems, primarily for the launch and sustainment of Disney /STAR services
Compile high volumes of material data sets in Excel, and map, migrate and validate data sets in Rightsline
Liaise with global teams to confirm rights, verify start dates and other general contract administration on Disney and STAR Originals and Library titles
Required:
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership skills over both direct and indirect reporting relationships
Comfortable working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint in Windows PC
Advanced understanding of underlying distribution and music rights
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations
Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques
Proven experience utilizing problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
Well versed in interpreting contractual language and analyzing agreements

The hiring range for this position in location is $101,790 to $124,410 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
