This diverse team – representing a wide variety of disciplines and talents from technical directors, writers, and lighting designers to choreographers, cosmetologists, and music producers – brings magical worlds to life through technical expertise, performance excellence, outstanding resourcefulness, unparalleled spectacle… and a dash of pixie dust!

You will have a complete understanding of the creative team’s artistic intent and be skilled in the practical implementation required to realize and maintain that vision. We would look to you as the Production Stage Manager to facilitate a flawless, integrated transition from the production team to the operating team, including rehearsal planning, crafting field schedules, and execution of bringing the elements of a show together.

  • Identify, track, update, and revise production deliverables throughout the production process.
  • Collaborate with various types of talent and all levels of Leadership for offerings/events occurring both on and off Disney Cruise Line ships, including the Toronto Artistic Operations team.
  • Build and manage a detailed production schedule, run rehearsals efficiently, prepare timely books, and "call" sophisticated show cues including automated scenery, performer stunts & flying, and pyrotechnics.
  • Deliver creative team’s show notes to the larger production team, as well as build comprehensive show documentation including a script breakdown for all show production elements and approved contingencies.
  • Collaborate with Production team members continually, including Production Assistants, Production Managers, Production Supervisors and Producers, along with technical design and delivery team members, and shipboard partners.
  • Partner with Production Supervisor and/or shipboard leadership, agree to and communicate Cast in/out times to ensure timelines and schedules are adhered to by all, aligning consistent application of work rules associated with Disney Cruise Line Crew (MLC)

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Stage Manager and/or Entertainment Event Management
  • Knowledge and understanding of large-scale show production and/or branded event offerings with ability to create and read stage plots, complex cue scripts, and blocking for prompt scripts
  • Capablle of adapting to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment
