Summary
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for analyzing complex financial records and reports and oversee accounting operations from inputting data, reconciling and processing of payments and invoices, expense reimbursements, credit cards and bank transactions to preparing financial statements and reports.
The Senior Staff Accountant supports the mission and goals of Disparti Law Group by minimizing financial risk through excellent analytical skills and extensive knowledge of accounting principles and performance of accounting responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Senior Staff Accountant does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions
- General ledger management, including the proper coding and classification of invoices, payments, and other transactions and accurate recording of the transactions in QuickBooks
- Account reconciliations, including reconciling bank accounts, client escrow accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and other key accounts, as assigned. Also includes billing and accounts receivable maintenance, including collections
- Monthly closing activities, including the preparation of monthly financial statements, departmental management reports and analysis of complex financial information to identify variances and provide explanations for discrepancies
- Compliance and internal controls, including adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards to implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraudulent activities
- Client service and communication, including the preparation of closing statements on individual cases
- Special projects, as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred
3-5 years of experience
Well-versed in QuickBooks and Excel
Law firm experience is a plus
Compensation Range
80,000-111,000 - Senior Staff Accountant (St. Petersburg, FL) Robert Half
61,200 - $90,000 – Staff Accountant (St. Petersburg, FL) Robert Half
54,500 - $69,000 – Entry Level Staff Accountant (St. Petersburg, FL) Robert Half
Disparti Law Group is a multi-state employer, and as such, any salary range provided may not be applicable in all states. Any offer made to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include years of experience, education, location, etc.

Salary : $54,500 - $69,000
