As a Diagnostic Imaging Professional with DispatchHealth Management, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in various patient locations.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and protocols during diagnostic imaging exams.
- Verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or designated exam settings.
- Establish exposure factors based on patient characteristics.
- Emphasize safe work practices, including radiation safety, ALARA principles, and infection control.
- Prepare images for radiologist or physician review.
- Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
- Timely transmit images and documentation according to company protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, visit logs, and reports of work performed.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning; assist with troubleshooting as directed.
- Ensure vehicle is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding portable imaging procedures.
- Support employee training and orientation upon request.
- Provide administrative and customer support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements for portable x-ray performance, including ARRT registration or equivalent.
- Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
