We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Mobile Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and other patient locations.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams.
- Collect and verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient's bedside or designated exam settings.
- Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
- Maintain safe work practices appropriate to position, including radiation safety, ALARA principles, infection control, and personal protective equipment usage.
- Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians.
- Process images and review them for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
- Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
- Complete forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving as directed.
- Ensure vehicle is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Operate and behave in full compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to portable imaging procedures and standards.
- Assist with training and orientation of other employees upon request.
- Support administrative and customer support functions as directed.
Requirements:
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Hold a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules that may include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
