Dispel is focused on providing innovative solutions to those customers whose security and operational requirements just don’t fit an “out-of-the-box” solution. We’re expanding rapidly and are looking for a Solutions Engineer willing to leave the old world behind and become a member of our valued team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process by providing expert technical guidance and conducting product demonstrations. This position requires a deep understanding of our products and services, aligning them with prospecting customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions demonstrations tailored to their needs.
- Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the features and benefits of our solutions.
- Utilize your expertise in Linux and security concepts (including Security ) to address client requirements, provide technical recommendations, and answer complex technical questions.
- Collaborate with the system administration team to understand the latest features and enhancements, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of our offerings.
- Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, RFPs, and other documentation required for the sales process.
- Serve as a technical resource for the sales team, addressing technical questions and concerns from clients.
- Participate in sales meetings and strategy sessions, providing insights and recommendations based on technical expertise.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to provide relevant information to clients and the sales team.
- Support post-sales activities, including implementation and troubleshooting, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful deployment of our solutions.
Job Type: Full-time (Onsite Herndon, VA)
All Candidates Must have the Following Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security
- Linux-related certification/experience (e.g., CompTIA Linux , RHCSA) is preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role.
- Proven experience working with Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and a solid understanding of networking and security protocols.
- Strong understanding of networking, cybersecurity, and communication technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with military/government organizations & contracts is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales efforts.
