Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multifamily Portfolio Asset Manager Associate to assist our team in leading our portfolio of multifamily properties to greater levels. This individual will play a pivotal role in maximizing the value of the portfolio, utilizing strong financial acumen, industry knowledge, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the multifamily real estate sector and have a track record of managing large, diverse portfolios effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing a portfolio of residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate assets.
- Monitor property performance metrics, including occupancy rates, cash flow, and return on investment (ROI).
- Implement strategies to enhance asset value and mitigate risks.
- Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation analyses for real estate assets.
- Prepare and analyze property budgets, financial statements, and operational reports.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.
- Review and negotiate lease agreements in collaboration with property managers and legal teams.
- Ensure compliance with lease terms and resolve tenant-related issues.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the real estate industry.
- Provide recommendations for acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio diversification.
- Work closely with property management teams, investors, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding real estate operations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to the portfolio.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multifamily property/asset management, with a track record of successfully managing large, complex portfolios in multiple states.
- Strong financial analysis skills and experience working with complex financial models and data within excel spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of multifamily industry trends, market conditions, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to visit properties.
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, finance, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
