DiStefano Brothers Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to help continue our team’s success as a leader in the local design-build industry. As a Construction Project Manager at DiStefano Brothers, you will be overseeing and directing various construction projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for leading project teams, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of residential and commercial construction projects, including ground-up builds, renovations, and tenant improvements.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction to project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff, to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, implementing rigorous cost controls and tracking progress to meet deadlines.
- Plan Reading & Interpretation: Read, interpret, and effectively explain construction plans, specifications, and technical documents to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Change Management: Proactively manage scope changes, addressing challenges and developing solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. -OR-
- 8 years of Construction Project Management experience, including managing large, complex, high-stakes projects in both commercial and residential sectors.
Skills and Competencies
- Leadership:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate work effectively.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding time management skills, including the ability to estimate work effort and timelines for various construction projects.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency in project management software such as CoConstruct, Procore, or Buildertrend.
- Strong literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client satisfaction and team collaboration.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
