The Opportunity 


DiStefano Brothers Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to help continue our team’s success as a leader in the local design-build industry. DiStefano Brothers specializes in a wide variety of projects, including medium to large renovations and additions, ground-up builds, and light commercial work. As a Construction Project Manager at DiStefano Brothers, you will be overseeing and directing various construction projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for leading project teams, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. 


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of residential and commercial construction projects, including ground-up builds, renovations, and tenant improvements.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction to project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff, to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, implementing rigorous cost controls and tracking progress to meet deadlines.
  • Plan Reading & Interpretation: Read, interpret, and effectively explain construction plans, specifications, and technical documents to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Change Management: Proactively manage scope changes, addressing challenges and developing solutions to keep projects on track.


Qualifications 


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field. -OR-
  • 8 years of Construction Project Management experience, including managing large, complex, high-stakes projects in both commercial and residential sectors.

  • Leadership:
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate work effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills.
    • Outstanding time management skills, including the ability to estimate work effort and timelines for various construction projects.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Excellent understanding of construction methods, contracts, and blueprint interpretation.
    • Proficiency in project management software such as CoConstruct, Procore, or Buildertrend.
    • Strong literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client satisfaction and team collaboration.
    • Outstanding customer service skills.
