An established and respected law firm, renowned for its commitment to affordable housing and community development, is seeking an experienced and motivated Affordable Housing Attorney at the Partner level. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead impactful legal initiatives that contribute to the development of affordable housing solutions for communities in need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of affordable housing matters, including financing, compliance, development, and policy.
- Lead and manage complex affordable housing projects, from public-private partnerships to low-income housing tax credits and other financing mechanisms.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and regulatory matters before local, state, and federal agencies.
- Develop strategic business initiatives and build strong client relationships within the affordable housing sector.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and policy changes to offer proactive, innovative legal solutions.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience (10 years) practicing affordable housing law, including expertise in housing finance, government regulations, and policy.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex housing projects and transactions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding junior attorneys.
- Outstanding negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Salary : $180,000 - $210,000
