About the Position:
An established law firm in Jacksonville is seeking a skilled Insurance Defence Associate to join its growing litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney with experience in handling insurance defence cases, including personal injury and property damage claims. You will manage all aspects of the litigation process from inception through trial, representing leading insurance clients in a wide range of complex matters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defence matters, primarily involving personal injury, commercial litigation, and liability claims.
- Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research, depositions, and discovery-related activities.
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trial.
- Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategies and legal developments.
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member of the Florida Bar.
- 2 years of experience in insurance defence, personal injury, or general litigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Experience with commercial and complex litigation is a plus.
