What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Manager position at Distinct?
Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.
This firm is one of those rare finds with a team that sticks around. You probably haven’t seen an ad from them in years—because people don’t leave. The team enjoys a low-stress environment, which helps avoid the burnout that drives many to look for new opportunities. During tax season, the average workweek is around 55 hours, which is manageable. The only exception is the final stretch before the deadline, where hours can peak to 60-65 for a short period of 5-7 days.
The firm is growing, too. With a few partners nearing retirement and some new financial planning partnerships in the works, there are plenty of exciting opportunities ahead. Plus, with strong client referrals coming in, they’re positioned to bring in even more business.
One of the reasons the firm has such low turnover is its fantastic culture. The team works hard, but there’s a strong sense of camaraderie, and flexibility is built in. You’ll enjoy a hybrid work schedule, with even more freedom during the off-season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, you’ll get every other Friday off, so you can make the most of summer with a 32-hour workweek whilst being paid full time.
