What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Sub Investigator - Researcher position at Distinctive Dermatology?
Distinctive Dermatology PLLC is hiring an as-needed sub investigator to assist with back-up coverage for the practice’s clinical trials program.
The sub investigator will:
- Complete research-related trainings as required by the research program
- See scheduled research patients when primary investigator (PI) is not available
- See unscheduled urgent research patients when PI is not available
- Receive research subject telephone calls when PI is not available
- Evaluate research subjects within timelines of study protocol requirements and in coordination with sub investigator’s personal availability
- Have a Virginia license for level of training
All research subjects will be evaluated at Distinctive Dermatology PLLC’s business location in Vienna, Virginia.
Distinctive Dermatology PLLC is responsible for payment of malpractice insurance required for the sub investigator.
Hourly pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed further if invited for interview.
The following qualified applicants will be considered:
- Board Certified Dermatologist
- Physician; Internal medicine or Family medicine preferred
- Dermatologist with training completed outside of the United States
- Physician Assistant with 2 years of dermatology experience
- Nurse Practitioner with 2 years of dermatology experience

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
