Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiating with owners and sub-contractors.
- Planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, and a complete understanding of the project management process.
- Following up on proposals.
- Leading the project team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Soliciting and evaluating sub-contractor quotes.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to support company growth.
- Monitoring and controlling project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Managing project finances, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and financial reporting. Having a comprehensive understanding of all costs involved.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure project success.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Ability to travel to project sites is required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Experience with Specialty Contractors or a "Self-Performing" contractor.
Technology:
- Proficient with Microsoft programs: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
