What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at Distribution Management Inc?
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources at our St.
Charles, MO corporate headquarters, this position will : Oversee departmental functions, including but not limited to, talent acquisition, hiring and records management, compensation, benefits, leave management, training and career development, safety and health, employee relations and engagement, performance management, retention, and legal compliance.
Devote focus time approximately 75% to distribution centers and 25% to headquarters.
Oversee departmental reporting, payroll, leave management, worker's compensation, and unemployment claim management.
Collaborate with teams to develop strategic plans for future programs and projects.
Partner with the Director of Human Resources and the outside benefits broker to strategically identify an attractive benefit plan offering for all employees and candidates.
Communicate and enforce organizational values.
Guide standards by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
Analyze facts to support teams by providing coaching, counseling, and informed decision-making.
Oversee and conduct employee investigations and advise management regarding appropriate resolution.
Deliver manager and employee training on relevant and compliance-driven workplace topics.
Use employee exit interviews to gather information to analyze gaps to impact retention.
Remain current on job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
