What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Lead - Monday - Friday -2:30pm-11:00pm position at Distribution Management?
Responsibilities Include:
The receiving lead will act as the subject matter expert in support of the department, supervisor and DC Manager. They will be the team “go-to” for procedural related guidance.
- Complete the pre-shift checklist (ex. gather supplies and materials, etc.).
- Work in coordination with the supervisor to assign daily priorities and participate in shift meetings.
- Partner with supervisor to identify root cause of performance issues.
- Inspect inbound shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Track quality variances and identify when other process improvements are needed.
- Partner with on-site trainer to mentor new employees. Ensure SOPs and DC policies are being followed.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Dress Code-Specifics Required
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be an upbeat self-starter with a stable work history in a distribution center or warehouse.
- Punctual with good attendance.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical demands
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to twist, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to use proper lifting techniques to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
