Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and based at our Carlisle , PA Distribution Center, the Maintenance Technician will:

• Oversee, maintain, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and other facility structures across all five Distribution Centers (DCs), in a timely, effective, and safe manner
• As needed, regularly travel to other DC locations to complete required repairs and maintenance work
• Worked with various warehouse equipment, including but not limited to:
• Conveyor belts
• Forklifts
• Pallet jacks
• Successfully utilize established repair policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including but not limited to work orders and parts used
• Follow proper safety protocols to alert DC associates of any equipment that is out of order
• Alert management and any other necessary parties when any tools and/or supplies required for performing repairs are unavailable or broken
• Be responsible for company tools and maintenance equipment used in performance of job duties, including inventory maintenance, safe operation, proper storage, and security of tool area
• If authorized, purchase tools and other equipment needs from vendors to perform required duties
• Meet established schedules and timelines
• Other duties as assigned

preferred qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years' experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
• 3 years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
• 3 years of industrial maintenance or related work experience
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently

physical requirements:

• Ability to continuously stand, walk, and assume various positions for extended periods of time (including but not limited to bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and working from elevated surfaces)
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull various weights ~15-60 pounds (need to confirm), when needed
• Ability to handle frequent travel to other DC locations (about 30-40% of the time [need to confirm])
• Requires working around moving machinery and heavy equipment
• May be required to work in confined spaces, when needed
• Must always wear proper safety equipment
• Perform job duties in various weather & temperature conditions
• Ability to be around various loud noises in a warehouse setting
