What are the responsibilities and job description for the SR GENERAL MAINTENANCE REPAIR WORKER position at Distribution?
The Sr General Maintenance Repair Worker performs various maintenance service and repairs in several skills areas, which include, plumbing, carpentry, machine servicing, electrical repairs, installations, or vehicle servicing.
Scheduled Days: Monday through Friday
Starting Range: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour *** based on skills and qualification
Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Performs all work within established safety standards; is responsible for managing own work and work around others with utmost adherence to good safety practices avoiding injury, damage, or cost to the company.
2. May be required to provide estimates of time and material cost on various projects and activities.
3. Requisitions supplies and equipment with appropriate approvals.
4. Works with vendors to provide needed services, with appropriate approvals and within established time and budget parameters.
5. Performs selection of vendors, collects quotes and bids, conducts negotiations; prioritizes work.
Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience, preferably in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Warehouse.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Normal coordination, including eye-hand and hand-foot. Normal endurance to complete the essential functions of the position.
Work Environment:
• The work is typically active and physical in nature and requires normal accessibility to all work sites required of the position. The position may require extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is typically working in areas where air conditioning is unavailable and may be exposed to chemicals that are routinely present in the Company’s warehouse facilities.
