What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Safety Officer position at District & Charter Patrol?
We are seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to become an integral part of our team. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons.
SHIFTS: TUESDAY- FRIDAY ( PART TIME )
MUST BE AVAILABLE FROM 7:00 AM - 7:00PM
LOCATIONS INCLUDE: VICTORVILLE
Responsibilities:

**** MUST PASS A DOJ BACKGROUND SCREEN****
- Write reports and incident reports with great attention to detail
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
- Patrol and monitor assigned school campuses on various shifts, including, days, nights, weekends and holidays to provide security and protection to students, personnel, equipment and property.
- Maintain campus security and protect District property against vandalism, illegal entry, fire and theft.
- Enforce laws and regulations and respond to emergency situations.
- Actively monitor school grounds and respond to security threats, emergencies, or other situations as needed.
- Maintain order on school grounds by enforcing rules, responding to student behavioral issues, and preventing crimes from occurring.
- Inspect and patrol premises regularly.
- Monitor property entrance.
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicle.
- Report any suspicious behavior and happenings.
- Secure all exit doors and windows.
- Monitor surveillance camera.
- Respond to alarms and react promptly.
- Assist people in need.
Qualifications:
- Recent or current experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to remain walking or standing for 8-10 hours a day in any weather climate.
- Must be able to remain professional at all times.
- Preferred candidate has experience working with the youth.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Punctual, reliable, and must have strong communication skills.
- Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail, prioritization skill, and time management.
- Quick learner with a positive attitude.
- Great understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.75 - $18.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
