POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: DISTRICT STUDENT TRANSPORTATION DISPATCHER
PART-TIME
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP CAMPUS
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Familiarity with the area and roads of Camden County.
2. Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's license, Class B, with passenger and bus endorsements preferred.
3. Advance proficiency with computer applications including Google Functions, Microsoft Office Suite,
E-mail, databases and other job related software.
4. Excellent customer service philosophy and skills.
5. Excellent written and oral commuinications skills.
6. Ability to work well with others.
7. Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien
status.
8. Meets the health requirements required of all personnel.
9. Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.
10. Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Policy, File Code: 0142.1.
Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualifications for the position.

POSITION GOALS: To efficiently manage and dispatch all district student transportation resources and assets including drivers and equipment which will maximize the efficiency and use of district resources and minimize the use of charter bus services at both campuses.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, review and monitor schedules and routes to insure that district efficiency goals are met.
2. In a timely manner, communicate schedules and routes, as they are developed and revised, to your supervisor(s), so that they may be distributed to the appropriate staff, drivers, students and others.
3. Communicate with school bus drivers and other district/school staff related to assignments and schedules.
4. Must be on-call to deal with issues related to driver call-outs, route/scheduling problems, and other issue
5. Work collaboratively with the buildings and grounds department and district mechanic/assistant mechanic in scheduling bus equipment for maintenance, cleaning and repair.
6. Participate in professional development activities as assigned.
7. Prepare and submit any reports deemed necessary.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor assigned per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart/or designee.
