The District of Columbia Bar has an opening for the Salesforce Developer.  This position will apply technical expertise to perform business requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, testing and maintenance of Salesforce based applications by following AGILE development and SDLC best practices to maximize Salesforce ROI. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Design, customize, develop, and support web and salesforce applications using a variety of languages, primarily including Apex Classes, Controllers, Apex Triggers, HTML, CSS, Java Script, XML with back-end databases such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL. Experience in ETL (extract, transform, load) across multiple data sources. Create and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs between Salesforce and external systems. 

    Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance the Salesforce applications of the Bar, specifically Nimble (Association Management System) and Litify (Legal Case Management System). Provide technical support for customer relationship management (CRM), events, Fundraising, and Membership.

    Design Webpage's in Visualforce for capturing various customer enquiries and implement logic for migrating cases to different queues based on the type of customer enquiry. Work extensively in customization of Sales and Service Cloud Console by embedding Visualforce pages in custom console components, highlight panel and interaction log.  

    Manage the user setup, design and configuration of custom objects, custom fields, users, profiles and roles, workflow rules/process builder, visual flows, permission sets, sharing settings, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, role-based page layouts, record types, reports, dashboards, master-detail and lookup relationships.

    Develop standard database reports and customize Nimble reports, using the internal reporting or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Create an interface with Salesforce applications and data visualization/business intelligence products such as Tableau and Power BI.

    Create and modify existing stored procedures. Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), end user software documentation, and training materials including quick reference guides.

    Take responsibility for comprehensive unit and functional test coverage to ensure code quality. Partner with the business units to identify data quality and data integrity issues and implement solutions to improve data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems related field; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems related field with two years of related work experience.
