Sponsorship & Affinity Program Coordinator

The Sponsorship and Affinity Program Coordinator plays a key role in facilitating D.C. Bar relationships with affinity partners and sponsors. This role assists with marketing content, tracks sponsorships and agreements, facilitates communications, and assists with financial and compliance needs. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for affinity partners and sponsors, ensuring timely communication and coordination.
  • Works with affinity partners and sponsors to obtain and schedule marketing content and acts as a liaison between legal, marketing, and other departments. 
  • Submits updates on new partners, newsletter content, and other relevant materials to other departments.
  • Assists in establishing contractual agreements with partners and sponsors.  Monitors contract expiration dates, compliance with benefits, and managing renewals.
  • Works with the marketing department to develop promotional materials, social media content, and digital efforts promoting affinity partners and sponsors.
  • Collaborates with finance to create and schedule invoices for affinity partners and sponsors.
  • Conducts research and monitors industry trends and competitor partnership strategies to identify new opportunities for sponsorship growth.
  • Assists in tracking departmental revenue, sponsorship, and affinity partner relationships and prepares reports on financial performance to support budgeting efforts.
  • Maintains and tracks sponsor and affinity partner performance and engagement levels and prepares fulfillment reports.  
  • Coordinates with IT to maintain partner listings on www.dcbar.org.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and deadline driven. Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must work well in a team environment and be able to interact, including in-person, with Bar members, volunteers, vendors, the public and Bar employees.
  • Must work well under pressure, possess excellent organizational abilities, and be able to manage several priorities in a day.
  • Must be adaptable, creative, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Experience in customer service. 
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management/Association Management Systems. 

 

This position is currently a hybrid position, with days worked in the office and days worked remotely.   The hybrid status of this position may change at any time subject to the Bar’s discretion.
