Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Custodian at the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) located in Washington, DC. The Custodian will be responsible for performing day-to-day cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing classrooms, offices, and common areas. The Custodian will also assist with maintaining supplies and equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the school environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in custodial or janitorial work
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety
- Effective communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a school or educational environment is a plus
