Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Worker at Cleveland Bilingual Elementary School. Located in Washington, DC, the Social Worker will provide counseling and support services to students, families, and staff. Tasks include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, offering individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and collaborating with educators and parents to foster a positive school environment. The role also involves maintaining case records and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bilingual communication (English and Spanish) preferred, not required
- Experience with individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and developing intervention plans
- Strong skills in assessment, case management, and documentation
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with educators, parents, and external organizations
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Relevant certifications and licensure in social work
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
- Knowledge of school systems and child welfare is a plus
