The Neshaminy School District, a school system located in Lower Bucks County, dedicated to empowering each child to become a productive citizen and a lifelong learner, seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Principal at the Secondary level. This position has an expected start date of August 1, 2025
The successful candidate will become a member of a team of educational leaders for a school that has a rich history of serving the Neshaminy community consisting of Langhorne, Langhorne Manor, Hulmeville Borough, Penndel and the townships of Lower Southampton and Middletown. Neshaminy utilizes proven instructional strategies and innovative methods to help accomplish the district's strategic plan.
This 11-month administrative position will assist the Building Principal with the day-to-day management of the building. This includes, but is not limited to, supervision of staff, instructional programs and student discipline; working with students, parents and guardians as needed; co-curricular programing; budgeting; staffing; as well as other duties as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent and other Cabinet Officers.
Qualifications for this position include an active Pennsylvania Principal certification (K-12 or Secondary) with experience in scheduling and the observation process, strong communication, technology and organizational skills.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Supervision and observation of teachers;
- Ability to analyze data and monitor the academic progress of students;
- The ability to implement best practices in instruction and assessment strategies;
- Incorporating of use of technology in the classroom;
- Design and participate in professional development sessions alongside instructional coaches;
- Ability to effectively communicate with counselors, social workers, administrative assistants, department heads and parents;
- Represent the high school at functions outside of the school day;
- Success in building strong teams;
- Strong communication and technical skills.
