National Honor Society Advisor
Job Description
JOB GOAL:
To supervise this activity which recognizes those students who have met the academic and service eligibility standards in their continuous organized service to the school.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Informs students at the appropriate times of the eligibility standards for admission to the Honor Society.
- Conducts the evaluation of all candidates and their eligibility with the procedures established for verification. This includes checking academic ratings and leadership and character standards.
- Organizes the selection committee.
- Confers with the principal after the results of the evaluations have been tallied and arranges for a date for the induction ceremony.
- Arranges for an induction ceremony.
- Provides guidance, communicates high expectations, and shows an active interest in student progress. Promotes academic success as an important priority for all students.
- Verifies students have completed necessary service projects.
- Oversees the collection, deposit, and use of all monies raised through any fund raising projects.
- Informs and records students of academic or conduct violations and follows up with probation or dismissal procedures if necessary.

- Building Principal
- Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Community Public School District.
