JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide leadership, administrative, and supervisory skills for the educational development of students, as well as to promote parental and community involvement.
QUALIFICATIONS: Arizona administrative certification. A minimum of three years of successful experience as a school principal (or school leader), and the ability to articulate efforts of instructional leadership and relationship building preferred. Knowledge of Arizona College and Career Ready Standards and impact on instruction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set high, yet realistic, school goals based on the district’s goals and school needs.
- Demonstrate instructional effectiveness by leading the academic program to enhance student achievement and development.
- Plan and organize activities to bring parents and other community members into the school.
- Evaluate and counsel all staff members regarding their individual and group performances.
- Supervise the preparation of reports, records, lists, and other documents as required.
- Prepare and submit a local school budget, while monitoring expenditures throughout the year.
- Assume responsibility for the implementation and observance of all District policies, rules, and administrative directives.
- Establish and maintain, within the limitations of the financial resources available, an effective learning climate in the school, based on a schoolwide strategic plan.
- Continue to grow professionally through appropriate staff development opportunities.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.

SALARY: Twelve-month position, administrative salary schedule principal level 97, and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of administrative personnel.
